The Victory Square or Peremogy Square is dedicated to the victory in the second World War. The Square is situated in the Peremogy Avenue (or Street), which is the longest and broadest Street in Kiev (Kyiv).
The most famous building in the street is the Kyiv Circus.
From 1869 — 1952 the square has been known as Galytska Square. There is a 30 meter tall Victory monument with 1941 and 1945 markings on the Square. It was errected in 1952.
In front of the circus there is a big shopping center Ukraina and a Lybid Hotel.
