Pyrohiv is located in the southern outskirts of the Kiev city. It is now home to an outdoor Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine. Founded in 1969, the museum contains over 300 pieces of folk architecture brought here from all parts of Ukraine and carefully reassembled. Continue reading

    Hoverla mountain (2061 m) is the highest mountain in Ukraine and part of the Carpathian Mountains.Its coordinates are 48°10?12?N 24°34?12?E.

    The mountain is located in the Eastern region. The slopes are covered with beech and spruce forests, above which there is a belt of sub-alpine meadows (called in Ukrainian Polonyna).

It is the most notable example of Art Nouveau in Ukraine and the Ukrainian capital’s first “roofless” house.
