Mamajeva Sloboda is located on the 9,2 hectares site and represent a full replica of a historical settlement depicting Ukrainian nature, architecture and the way of life.
Its adress is Mykhaylo Dontsya Str.2, it is about 7 km from the central Street Khreschatyk.
Creating a landscape of typical Central Ukraine picture, today the Cossack village stands on that particular place – among the cherry orchards surrounded by wattle fences.
Near the main entrance there is a mound raised with a Scythian statue of Mamaj on the top. Not far from a Cossack three-domed wooden church there is a wind-mill – the symbol of peaceful agricultural Ukraine.
The Cossack church is founded in the name of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin.
Among other buidings, there can be found country estates of ktitor, blacksmith, potter, cossack chairman, Cossack armour bearer, fortune-teller woman and shynok of Jew the shop-keeper. For all those, who are fond of old folk mechanical arts the master-classes of pottery and blacksmithery are offered.
