Southern Buh River

The Southern Buh River is entirely located in Ukraine. The Buh is one of the longest rivers in Ukraine. It rises in the west, in the Khmelnytsky region, about 145 km from the Polish border, and flows into the Black Sea through the southern steppe. It is 806 km long and drains 63,700 km?. The Southern Buh flows through an area which was the bottom of the sea about 60 million years ago. The major cities on the Bug banks are Khmelnytskyi,Vinnytsia, Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv. Continue reading
